CarmiƩn Citrus Chai is a flavoursome combination of rooibos and a lightly spicy chai blend. It is visually pleasing in tagged compostable pyramid teabags, with calendula flower petals adding a yellow colour. It is an excellent tea to serve with wine and food.

Health Benefits

  • Rooibos: High in antioxidants. May ease allergies, colic, and cramps. Replaces essential minerals. Calms the nervous system. Safe for babies and kids.
  • Green Honeybush: High in antioxidants and minerals. Naturally caffeine-free, and contains anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Cinnamon: May help to control blood sugar levels, acts as an anti-bacterial agent, and is high in antioxidants.
  • Masala Chai Blend: A warming masala chai that supports digestion and circulation, helps settle nausea, and offers natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant support. Ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, and black pepper also aid blood sugar balance and provide gentle antibacterial benefits.
  • Dried orange peel: Is a natural source of Vitamin C, and adds a stunning citrus flavour to the blend.
  • Safflower: The linolenic and linoleic acids in safflower seed oil may help prevent hardening of the arteries, lower cholesterol, and reduce the risk of heart disease.
  • Lemongrass: Rich in antioxidants, helps relieve spasms, and aids digestion. It has a calming effect and is rich in Vitamin A and C. Contains anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Rosehip Shells: Have a calming effect and contain vitamin C.
  • Chamomile: Known for its calming effect, it helps reduce stress, ease digestive issues like acid reflux, and soothe skin irritation including eczema. Used internally and externally, itā€™s safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
  • Black Pepper: Improves digestion and is naturally anti-bacterial.
  • Vanilla flavouring: Adds a smooth vanilla flavour to the blend.

Rooibos, green honeybush, cinnamon, masala chai blend (cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, ginger, clove, black pepper), calendula, dried orange peel, safflower, lemongrass, rosehip shells, camomile flowers, black pepper with Vanilla flavouring.

Preparation

Infusion Temperature

100Ā°C (212Ā°F)

Steeping Time

5-10 minutes
Use one teabag for every 250ml of boiling water using a cup, or teapot. Steep 5-10 min or to taste. Enjoy with or without milk, honey/sugar or slice of lemon. Best enjoyed at 60Ā° C.

Carmien Citrus Chai (CCC)

A refreshing tea combining citrus and chai. The balance is perfect and the aroma isn't overbearing. It is a delicious tea. Reminds me of an autumn sunset in a tea cup.
